Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Geotechnical Driller role based in the United Arab Emirates. The Geotechnical Driller will operate and maintain drilling rigs and related heavy equipment to perform soil, rock, and groundwater investigations for construction and infrastructure projects. Daily responsibilities include setting up drilling sites, advancing boreholes, collecting and labeling samples, logging drilling conditions, and assisting with in-situ testing. The role includes performing routine inspections of equipment, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental standards, and completing accurate field reports and documentation. The Geotechnical Driller will collaborate with engineers, site supervisors, and HSE personnel to support high-quality geotechnical data collection and efficient project execution.
Qualifications

Proficiency in operating and maintaining heavy equipment relevant to drilling operations (e.g., drilling rigs, compressors, support vehicles). Hands-on experience with geotechnical drilling techniques, including soil and rock sampling and borehole advancement. Familiarity with directional drilling or related specialized drilling methods is an advantage. Experience conducting inspections of drilling equipment, tools, and safety systems to ensure compliance and reliability. Exposure to oil & gas or energy-sector drilling environments is beneficial. Strong understanding of site safety practices, HSE regulations, and safe work procedures in field operations. Ability to read and follow technical drawings, drilling logs, and work instructions, and to complete accurate field documentation. Physical ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and to perform manual tasks associated with drilling operations. Effective teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and site crews from diverse backgrounds. Relevant technical diploma, trade certification, or equivalent experience in drilling, geotechnical engineering, or related field preferred.
