Role Description The Civil Engineer – Building Design will support a short-term assignment focused on building and site design for projects in Dubai. This temporary, on-site role involves preparing and reviewing structural and civil design drawings, coordinating with architectural and MEP teams, and ensuring compliance with local codes and project specifications. Day-to-day tasks include performing design calculations, assisting with planning and layout of building and external works, contributing to stormwater and drainage design, and resolving technical issues during design development. The role also requires attending coordination meetings, preparing technical documentation and reports, and supporting timely approvals and construction readiness. Qualifications Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, with the ability to apply engineering principles to building and site development. Professional experience as a Civil Engineer, including involvement in building design projects and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. Skills in project Planning related to civil works, site layouts, and construction sequencing. Knowledge of Stormwater Management, drainage design, and related infrastructure for building projects. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline; professional registration or eligibility is an advantage. Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., Auto CAD, Revit, civil design tools) and familiarity with Dubai/local building codes and standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site in a fast-paced project environment for a short-term assignment.
