Roles & Responsibilities

  • Guide and train the production team on horticultural best practices.

  • Provide technical expertise in plant physiology, soil science, nutrition, and growing media.

  • Oversee plant care, including pruning, fertilization, pest and weed management.

  • Ensure the safe handling, storage, and application of pesticides and herbicides.

  • Monitor plant health, maintain plant records, and oversee outdoor plant stock.

  • Plan seasonal material requirements and recommend new plant stock.

  • Conduct regular training sessions and workshops on horticultural practices.

  • Support inventory management, stock takes, and supplier/nursery coordination.

  • Promote sustainable production methods and safe working practices.

  • Maintain nursery cleanliness and perform other duties assigned by the Production Manager.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related field.

  • 1–5 years of experience in horticulture or nursery production.

  • Strong knowledge of plant care, soil science, irrigation, fertilizers, and pest management.

  • Experience in nursery operations, plant health, and inventory management.

  • Ability to train teams and implement horticultural best practices.

  • Good communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
