Roles & Responsibilities
Guide and train the production team on horticultural best practices.
Provide technical expertise in plant physiology, soil science, nutrition, and growing media.
Oversee plant care, including pruning, fertilization, pest and weed management.
Ensure the safe handling, storage, and application of pesticides and herbicides.
Monitor plant health, maintain plant records, and oversee outdoor plant stock.
Plan seasonal material requirements and recommend new plant stock.
Conduct regular training sessions and workshops on horticultural practices.
Support inventory management, stock takes, and supplier/nursery coordination.
Promote sustainable production methods and safe working practices.
Maintain nursery cleanliness and perform other duties assigned by the Production Manager.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related field.
1–5 years of experience in horticulture or nursery production.
Strong knowledge of plant care, soil science, irrigation, fertilizers, and pest management.
Experience in nursery operations, plant health, and inventory management.
Ability to train teams and implement horticultural best practices.
Good communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
