Roles & Responsibilities

Quality Management

• Develop and implement the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP) for BESS electrical works.

• Ensure compliance with approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Procedures.

• Monitor project quality objectives and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.

• Lead internal quality audits and subcontractor quality assessments.

Electrical QA/QC

• Supervise QA/QC activities for:

  • Battery Containers

  • Battery Racks

  • Battery Modules

  • Battery Management System (BMS)

  • Power Conversion System (PCS)

  • Energy Management System (EMS)

  • Inverters

  • Transformers

  • MV/LV Switchgear

  • Protection & Control Panels

  • SCADA & Communication Systems

  • DC/AC Cabling

  • Earthing & Lightning Protection

  • HVAC and Fire Alarm Interfaces

Inspection & Documentation

• Review and approve Inspection Requests (IR), Material Inspection Requests (MIR), and quality documentation.

• Monitor Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Corrective Action Reports (CAR), and Preventive Action Reports (PAR) through to closure.

• Verify vendor documents, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) reports, Site Acceptance Test (SAT) reports, calibration certificates, and test records.

• Review as-built drawings and final quality dossiers.

Testing & Commissioning Support

• Witness electrical testing and commissioning activities.

• Ensure compliance with OEM commissioning procedures.

• Coordinate with commissioning teams and client representatives during energization and system handover.

• Verify punch-point closure before project turnover.

Coordination

• Coordinate with Construction, Engineering, Procurement, Commissioning, OEMs, and Client representatives.

• Mentor QA/QC Engineers and Electrical Inspectors.

• Prepare weekly and monthly quality reports.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 10–15 years of Electrical QA/QC experience.

• Minimum 5 years in a Quality Manager or Lead QA/QC role.

• At least 3 years of experience on BESS, Solar PV, Substation, or Power Plant projects.

• EPC and utility-scale project experience is mandatory.

• GCC/Middle East experience is preferred.

Preferred Certifications

• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor

• IEC standards knowledge

• Certified Electrical QA/QC Inspector (preferred)

• NEBOSH or IOSH (advantage)
