Roles & Responsibilities
- Master sterile techniques to meticulously prepare the operating room, ensuring a contaminant-free environment for delicate eye surgeries.
- Expertly manage and maintain specialized ophthalmic surgical instruments, including lasers and microscopes, for optimal performance during procedures.
- Provide direct patient care during intraocular surgeries, anticipating surgeon needs and responding swiftly to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency.
- Administer medications and intravenous fluids precisely as prescribed, monitoring patient vital signs with vigilance throughout the surgical process.
Desired Candidate Profile
Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license in the relevant jurisdiction.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience specifically within an Operating Room (OR) setting, with a strong preference for ophthalmology.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications are mandatory.
