Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements.
- Lead account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to ensure data integrity.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable cycles, including vendor/customer communications, invoicing, and collections where applicable.
- Monitor cash flow, perform forecasting, and assist in budgeting processes to support strategic financial planning.
- Coordinate external audits, prepare supporting schedules, and address auditor inquiries to facilitate clean and timely audit outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT/GST requirements and other regulatory obligations; implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with tax advisors and internal stakeholders on tax planning and optimization initiatives.
- Support financial planning and analysis activities, including variance analysis, trend identification, and performance metrics for management review.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong foundation in IFRS and UAE regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Oracle NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, dashboards).
- Solid understanding of UAE VAT, corporate tax considerations, and local compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience with month-end/year-end closing, financial reporting, and audit coordination.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external auditors.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
