Roles & Responsibilities
We are a leading perfume manufacturing company based in Dubai, seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead our Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure the highest standards of quality, compliance, and regulatory excellence across our manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in the perfume, fragrance, cosmetics, personal care, or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, with a proven track record of managing external audits, implementing quality systems, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead and manage the company's Quality Assurance function, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 22716 (GMP for Cosmetics), and other applicable regulatory standards.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) across manufacturing operations.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all external audits, including customer, certification, and regulatory audits, ensuring successful audit outcomes.
Lead internal audits, manage CAPA, deviation investigations, change control, and root cause analysis to ensure timely resolution of quality issues.
Ensure compliance with GMP, quality standards, and regulatory requirements throughout manufacturing, packaging, storage, and distribution processes.
Oversee supplier qualification, supplier audits, and quality performance monitoring for raw materials and packaging suppliers.
Collaborate closely with Production, R&D, Procurement, Warehouse, and Operations to ensure consistent product quality and process compliance.
Monitor and analyze quality KPIs, identify improvement opportunities, and implement preventive and corrective actions.
Supervise Quality Control activities, including raw material, in-process, and finished product release processes.
Review and approve SOPs, specifications, batch manufacturing records, validation protocols, and quality documentation.
Lead validation activities related to processes, equipment, cleaning, and manufacturing systems.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce quality-related costs, and improve manufacturing efficiency.
Build, mentor, and develop the QA/QC team while promoting a strong quality culture across the organization.
Ensure the organization remains audit-ready at all times and complies with local and international quality standards.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
Minimum 12-15 years of Quality Assurance experience, preferably in Perfume, Fragrance, Cosmetics, Personal Care, or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing.
Minimum 7-10 years in a managerial leadership role leading Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams.
Strong hands-on experience in handling external audits, including certification bodies, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.
Thorough knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 22716 (Cosmetic GMP), GMP requirements, quality systems, CAPA, deviation management, change control, and supplier quality management.
Strong understanding of cosmetic and fragrance manufacturing processes and quality regulations.
Experience in establishing and maintaining robust documentation and quality management systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Professional certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
