Roles & Responsibilities
-Monitor and inspect storage tank fabrication, erection, welding, and repair activities.
-Ensure compliance with API 650, API 653 approved procedures, and project specifications.
-Conduct dimensional inspections and verify tolerances, alignment, plumbness, fit-up requirements, peaking banding and roundness.
-Review welding activities, NDT reports (RT, UT, MT, PT), and quality records.
-Witness and verify hydrostatic, vacuum box, Pneumatic and other required tests.
-Prepare inspection reports, NCRs, quality documentation, and final handover dossiers.
-Coordinate with production, project, client, and inspection teams to resolve quality issues.
-Maintain and compile QA/QC documentation, including Manufacturing Record Books (MRB) and final QA/QC dossiers.
Desired Candidate Profile
-Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
-Minimum 3–5 years of experience in API 650 storage tank fabrication and API 653 inspection/repair projects.
-GCC experience is mandatory.
-Strong knowledge of API 650, API 653 and welding inspection requirements.
-CSWIP/AWS-CWI and NDT Level II certifications are preferred.
-Strong knowledge of welding, NDT, and quality inspection techniques.
-Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
-Knowledge of hydrostatic testing and commissioning activities.
-Excellent reporting, documentation, and communication skills.
-Ability to work in fabrication yards and construction sites.
