• Provide a comprehensive professional and ethical quality clinical services to patients in an effective and efficient manner.

  
  

• Monitor and manage clinical risks associated with direct patient care.

  
  

• Ensure compliance with clinical governance and quality management standards.

  
  

• Maintain accurate medical records.

  
  

• Ensure excellence in medical practice is maintained by focusing on continuous professional development of self and others.

  
  

• Maintain integrity in professional services by executing clinical services in an ethical and responsible manner.

  
  

• To perform the professional duties of an endocrinologist in accordance with the delineation of privileges as recommended and approved by the Credentials Committee.

  
  

• To perform his duties in the Endocrinology Clinic, evaluating patients with hormonal diseases.

  
  

• Provides after working hours on call emergency coverage for endocrinology emergencies.

  
  

• To perform endocrinal procedures - dynamic hormonal test in appropriate patient

  
  

• To provide consultation/referral services to the inpatient services in his area of expertise.

  
  

• To work with the patients throughout the entire process starting from consultation to treatment plan.

  
  

• Provides supervision and education to the staff nurses, patients and technicians.

  
  

• Participates and contributes to all the quality assurance activities of the service (e.g. monthly mortality and

  
  

  morbidity conference, peer review, audit and chart review).

  
  

• Orders diagnostic laboratory studies and X-ray examinations, determining the diagnosis and prescribing applicable therapy

  
  

• Participates in and contributes to in-service activities such as lectures, conferences and rounds

  
  

• Participates in the monthly staff meetings

  
  

• Strictly observes organization’s medical regulations and policies especially those related to infection control,

  
  

  patient safety, patient assessment and patient care

  
  

• Performs other miscellaneous related duties as required by the HOD

  
  

At least 3 - 5 years’ post qualification experienceatSpecialistlevel(independentof country)

Atleast1yearSpecialistlevelexperiencefrom a Tier 1 country as specified by the UAE healthcare regulator.

Basic medical degree and completion of a specialty qualification/education programme (fellowship/diploma)recognisedbytherelevant UAE healthcare authority.

Certification and registration in a speciality recognised by relevant UAE healthcare authority.Active and valid life support certification(e.g.BLS,ACLS,PALS,ATLS, NRP)

Eligibility for relevant healthcare authority registration e.g. Membership from Royal College /Arab Board Certification /MS/DM / MPhiloranequivalentrecognisedbyrelevant healthcare authority in UAE
