Roles & Responsibilities
Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
Prepare tender documents, analyze quotations and support the tendering process.
Monitor project costs, budgets and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage variations, claims, interim payment applications and final accounts.
Review and evaluate subcontractor quotations, payment applications and final accounts.
Assist in contract administration and ensure compliance with contract conditions, including FIDIC contracts.
Conduct cost analysis, cost forecasting and value engineering where required.
Coordinate with project, procurement, commercial and technical teams to ensure effective cost control.
Maintain accurate records of contracts, costs, variations, claims and commercial correspondence.
Prepare regular commercial and cost reports for management review.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
3–5 years of relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveying Engineer in the construction industry.
Experience in building construction, villa projects, residential, commercial or infrastructure projects is preferred.
Strong knowledge of quantity take-off, BOQ preparation, cost estimation and cost control.
Practical experience in variations, claims, subcontract management and final account settlement.
Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and construction contract administration.
Strong analytical, negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; knowledge of quantity surveying or cost management software is an advantage.
Previous experience in the UAE or GCC construction market is preferred.
Good command of English, both written and spoken.
