Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop detailed switchgear designs, including single-line diagrams, schematics, and layouts, ensuring adherence to industry standards like IEC or IEEE and local codes.
- Perform calculations for short circuit analysis, arc flash studies, and equipment sizing to ensure safety and optimal performance of the switchgear systems.
- Select and specify components such as circuit breakers, relays, and busbars, considering voltage, current ratings, and environmental conditions, as well as cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other engineers to understand project requirements and provide technical expertise throughout the design process.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, providing a strong foundation in electrical principles.
- Possesses a minimum of 5 years of experience in switchgear design, showcasing practical application of theoretical knowledge.
- Demonstrates proficiency in using design software such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar tools for creating detailed drawings and layouts.
- Exhibits a deep understanding of relevant standards like IEC or IEEE, ensuring designs meet industry requirements and safety regulations.
