Job Details

Vessel Management and Reporting

Maintain complete set of valid class & Flag state certificates for each chartered vessel. Maintain and monitor PMS of all chartered vessels in line with the owner representative and manufacturer manuals. Report details of all jobs and activities relative to chartered vessel surveys to Management Zero detentions; 100% documentation completeness

Resource Management

Ensure that required manpower is available on chartered vessels at all times to execute scope of work in a safe & efficient manner and meet Safe manning and Clients Criteria. Ensure that chartered vessels are equipped with necessary lifesaving appliances & firefighting equipment and ensure that all are in good operating condition. Ensure all chartered vessel personnel comply with regulatory training requirements as per Standards of Training, Certification & Watch keeping (STCW) 95 / client requirements. Ensure that chartered vessels are stocked with the required navigation charts, navigational publications, stationeries, manuals, client instructions and field charts.

Personnel Capability

Brief all newly appointed masters, Chief Officers and officers on local locations and the performance expected by the client. Familiarize all new joiners fully with clients’ requirements before appointing them to the vessel. Interview and approve all new masters, officers in reference to the STCW and client standards.

Risk and Compliance

Carry out inspections on chartered vessels to ensure compliance with all standards. Compliance in accordance with Company codes, IMO (International Maritime Organization), Client standards and HSE standards. Ensures corrective actions arising out of incident investigations are satisfactorily closed-out.

Client Retention

Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships. Work with Operations/technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs. Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education (Min.) Master Mariner CoC or equivalent sea-going experience (preferred) Experience 8–12 years marine operations incl. ISM/ISPS and port captaincy/superintendent Certifications ISM/ISPS knowledge; incident investigation; HSE training Technical & Professional Passage planning, port regulations, audit/drill management Behavioral Assertiveness, communication, coaching mindset Industry Standards: IMO (SOLAS/MARPOL/ISM/ISPS), Flag State & Class rules, STCW; IMCA for offshore operations; ISO 9001/14001/45001; Company HSSEQ Management System
