Financial Models

• Working independently with the operation teams develop, deliver, and implement financial models and financial modelling tools for project financing, corporate financing, and other projects.

• Responsible for ensuring the availability and adequacy of data used in the models is of sufficient quality (acceptable by the banks) by establishing procedures for collecting information and building appropriate checks and controls.

• Responsible for providing good quality, timely, and easy-to-understand financial advice to operational teams in a way that non-specialists can readily understand.

• Update financial models on a periodic basis to keep up-to-date results available.

• Implement scenarios and present them to management for decision-making.

Project Financing Coordination and Project Costing

• Coordinate the due diligence process of projects, liaising with financial and technical advisors to update the financing model.

• Support and work with project technical teams/managers who lead strategic planning, business analysis, and other internal consulting projects that drive high-impact improvements and profitable growth.

• Participate in the analysis of actual results, drawing conclusions by working closely with the project team, EGA business research team, and line manager to establish robust business cases.

Presentations and Reporting

• Develop strategic presentations, proposals, and analyses for both internal and external audiences as requested by management.

• Prepare, gather, and synthesize information to assist in monitoring, tracking, and refining initiatives in coordination with relevant business areas.

Lenders’ Requirements

• Provide the necessary financial information as required by lenders, including periodic covenant computation as required by management and lenders.

Support Project Management / Strategic Initiatives Execution

• Proactively provide special project support and perform other job-related duties by updating and maintaining relevant analyses and presentations.

• Work closely with the EGA business analysis function to ensure alignment of long-term financial requirements and performance.

Relationship Management

• Develop and maintain effective business relationships with potential customers, multi-user infrastructure co-users, commercial and financial institutions, consultants, process owners, and all relevant internal and external stakeholders while maintaining the highest standards of business ethics.

Policies, Processes & Procedures

• Prepare financial model user guides and a terms dictionary to allow easy access to models and ensure they are readily understood by non-specialists.

Authority / Decision Making

• Think within established policies, procedures, standards, and precedents while representing Finance at a senior level on project teams.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or equivalent

• Post graduate management qualification (ie ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CFA).

Minimum Experience:

• 5-8 years of experience in financial modelling and dealing with financing activities in a reputable organization;

• An in-depth understanding of financial modelling and a working knowledge of accountancy

• Knowledge of work flow/process mapping & of industry best practices;

Skills:

• Ability to analysis complex information including numerical analysis, present key conclusions and withstand challenge from internal and external audiences

• Ability to use a number of financial modelling software packages

• Strong problem solving skills
