The Role We are seeking an experienced Cyber Governance Manager to lead cybersecurity governance, policy management, risk oversight, and compliance initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will oversee cybersecurity governance frameworks, regulatory compliance, cyber risk management, security awareness, audit readiness, and governance reporting while ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement enterprise cybersecurity governance strategies, policies, standards, and operating frameworks aligned with organizational objectives and security requirements. Lead cybersecurity governance initiatives covering information security policies, governance committees, cyber risk management, compliance programs, security controls, and technology governance. Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Enterprise Risk Management, Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit, Data Privacy, Cloud Engineering, Human Resources, Procurement, and Executive Leadership to strengthen organizational cyber governance. Develop, maintain, and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, control frameworks, and governance documentation. Establish governance processes for cyber risk identification, assessment, treatment, monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement. Lead cyber risk assessments, control maturity reviews, security gap analyses, governance audits, and compliance assessments. Oversee compliance with international cybersecurity frameworks and standards including ISO/IEC 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), CIS Controls, COBIT, PCI DSS, SOC 2, and applicable UAE cybersecurity regulations. Coordinate internal and external cybersecurity audits, regulatory examinations, certification activities, remediation plans, and evidence collection. Develop governance metrics, executive dashboards, board reports, cyber risk registers, key risk indicators (KRIs), and key performance indicators (KPIs). Promote cybersecurity awareness by partnering with learning teams to support governance training, policy communication, and security awareness initiatives. Evaluate emerging cybersecurity trends, governance technologies, regulatory developments, artificial intelligence (AI)-driven cyber defense, governance automation, and risk intelligence platforms. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including policy compliance, audit findings, remediation completion, control effectiveness, cyber risk exposure, regulatory compliance, security awareness participation, third-party risk status, governance maturity, and incident trends. Conduct governance reviews, compliance monitoring, control testing, vendor risk assessments, benchmarking studies, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with UAE cybersecurity regulations, data protection laws, privacy requirements, contractual obligations, industry standards, and organizational governance policies. Manage cybersecurity governance budgets, governance tools, consulting partners, audit providers, compliance platforms, and strategic governance initiatives. Drive digital transformation through artificial intelligence (AI)-powered governance analytics, automated compliance monitoring, policy lifecycle management, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) platforms, workflow automation, and business intelligence solutions. Utilize Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Sentinel, Service Now GRC, RSA Archer, One Trust, Audit Board, Splunk, Tenable, Qualys, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft 365, Power BI, Tableau, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and cybersecurity governance platforms to monitor governance performance and generate actionable insights. Prepare executive dashboards, board reports, governance assessments, audit reports, cyber risk analyses, regulatory updates, compliance scorecards, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership. Lead, mentor, and develop cybersecurity governance analysts, GRC specialists, compliance professionals, security risk analysts, and cross-functional teams while fostering a culture of security, accountability, integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Information Systems, Business Administration (MBA), Risk Management, or a related discipline is highly advantageous. Professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor, COBIT, or equivalent are highly preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity governance, information security, governance, risk and compliance (GRC), cyber risk management, IT audit, or related roles. At least 2 years of experience managing cybersecurity governance programs, GRC platforms, compliance initiatives, audit activities, or multidisciplinary cybersecurity teams preferred. Strong understanding of cybersecurity governance, information security frameworks, enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, third-party risk management, cloud security governance, security controls, audit methodologies, and business continuity principles. Experience with Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Sentinel, Service Now GRC, RSA Archer, One Trust, Audit Board, Splunk, Tenable, Qualys, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, Tableau, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and cybersecurity governance platforms. Familiarity with AI-powered security analytics, continuous control monitoring, security orchestration and automation (SOAR), cloud security posture management (CSPM), governance automation, zero trust architectures, and advanced cyber threat intelligence is highly advantageous. Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, policy development, risk assessment, audit coordination, strategic planning, project management, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple cybersecurity governance initiatives while balancing regulatory requirements, business priorities, cyber risks, budgets, timelines, and organizational objectives. Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with distributed security teams, auditors, regulators, technology partners, executives, and global stakeholders, with occasional travel for audits, governance meetings, and strategic planning sessions as required.
