Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Technician – Fuel Systems to carry out the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, and annual maintenance of fuel handling and automation systems across retail, commercial, industrial, and oil & gas facilities. The ideal candidate should have strong mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation knowledge, be customer-focused, and capable of working independently.
Key Responsibilities
Install, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain:
Fuel dispensers
Fuel storage tanks
Pumps, motors, compressors, and engines
Flow meters and fuel skids
Fuel Management Systems (FMS)
Leak Detection Systems (LDS)
Automatic Tank Gauging (ATG), level gauges, and overfill alarm systems
Piping, valves, and process lines
PLC, SCADA, automation systems, and electrical control panels
Carry out preventive, corrective, emergency, and annual maintenance under service contracts.
Perform process line modifications, pressure testing, calibration, equipment overhauling, and system testing.
Read and interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings, and technical manuals.
Prepare service reports and maintain high standards of safety, quality, and housekeeping.
Represent the company professionally and provide excellent customer support at site.
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements
Diploma/ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related technical field.
Minimum 5 years' experience in fuel systems, petroleum equipment, or the oil & gas industry.
Valid UAE Driving License (mandatory).
Hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance.
Proficient in welding, plumbing, painting, pressure testing, pipe fabrication, and equipment alignment.
Experience in overhauling pumps, motors, flow meters, compressors, and engines.
Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, automation, and fuel management systems is an advantage.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
Presentable, customer-oriented, and able to communicate professionally with clients.
Willing to travel across the UAE and respond to emergency service calls when required.
Candidates with experience in Wayne, Gilbarco Veeder-Root, Tokheim, Tatsuno, PIUSI, Gespasa, Franklin Fueling Systems, OPW, Veeder-Root, or equivalent fuel handling and automation equipment will be given preference.
Experience with fuel station construction and maintenance projects
Knowledge of hazardous area (Ex) equipment and safe working practices in classified zones (ATEX/IECEx awareness is an advantage)
Ability to read P&IDs, electrical schematics, GA drawings, and isometric piping drawings
Experience in fault finding using multimeters, insulation testers, and calibration equipment
Knowledge of diesel transfer systems, fuel filtration, and custody transfer metering
Ability to supervise junior technicians and subcontractors
Experience preparing service reports and communicating directly with customers
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, and service reporting software)
