Job description
Identify job requirements for personnel, equipment and welding consumables prior to offshore mobilization
Select welders for each job and monitor their performance
Coordinate with welding inspectors and third party NDT personnel
In charge of all welding activities on board the vessel and job site. Reports to the field engineer and barge superintendent
Full responsibility over Welding Foremen, pipe facing machine operators, spacers, pipeline welders and helpers assigned for the project
In charge of issuing his welders with safety gears required for the job and control the supply of these gears
Responsible for implementing the applicable welding and QA/QC procedures
Conducting tool box meeting with welding crew and promote safety awareness among them
Close monitoring of consumption of welding electrodes and other related material and report short-falls or request replenishment ahead of time to warehouse and field engineer
Coordination with client, third party and inspection team
Capable of interpreting radiography films and be conversant with client specifications and welding standards.
Trouble shooting welding problem and maintain progress
Compliance in accordance with section/Company policies & procedures, Policy of Integrity & Code of Conduct & HSE standards

Qualifications:
Secondary School Certificate with a discipline-specific Technical qualification, or equivalent
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas Industry
Solid knowledge of pipeline welding using SMAW or FCAW processes and automatic welding using GMAW (pulsed) process in 5G downhill position, air-arc gouging and repair welding
Good standard of written and spoken English
Computer Literacy
All offshore safety training requirements
Working knowledge of pipeline welding codes such as AP1 1104, DNV OS-F 101, and BS 4515
Sound technical knowledge in welding processes such as SMAW, FCAW (inner shield and outer shield), STT and welding of various materials like carbon steel, CRA clad steel
Ability to read and understand welding procedure specification and inspection plan documents
Good report writing skills

المسؤولية الكاملة عن رؤساء اللحام، مشغلي آلات تجهيز المواسير، الفواصل، لحامي الأنابيب ولحامين المساعدين المعينين للمشروع
المسؤول عن إصدار معدات السلامة لللحامين والتأكد من تزويد هذه المعدات
المسؤول عن تنفيذ إجراءات اللحام وQA/QC المعمول بها
عقد اجتماع صندوق الأدوات مع طاقم اللحام وتعزيز الوعي بالسلامة بينهم
المراقبة الدقيقة لاستهلاك أقطاب اللحام وغيرها من المواد ذات الصلة وتقرير القصور أو طلب إعادة التوريد مقدمًا إلى المستودع مهندس الميدان
التنسيق مع العميل والطرف الثالث وفريق التفتيش
قادر على تفسير أفلام الأشعة ومعرفة بالمواصفات الخاصة بالعميل ومعايير اللحام
معالجة مشاكل اللحام والمتابعة المستمرة للتقدم
الامتثال وفقاً للقسم وسياسات الشركة وإجراءاتها، وسياسة النزاهة ومدونة السلوك ومعايير الصحة والسلامة والبيئة

المؤهلات:
شهادة المدرسة الثانوية مع تأهيل تقني في تخصص معين، أو ما يعادلها
خبرة لا تقل عن 10 سنوات ذات صلة في صناعة النفط والغاز
معرفة قوية بلحام خطوط الأنابيب باستخدام عمليتي SMAW أو FCAW واللحام الآلي باستخدام GMAW (نبضي) في وضعية 5G نزولاً، حفر بالتيار الهوائي وإصلاح اللحام
مستوى جيد من الكتابة والتحدث باللغة الإنجليزية
إتقان الحاسوب
جميع متطلبات السلامة offshore
معرفة عملية بمعايير لحام خطوط الأنابيب مثل AP1 1104، DNV OS-F 101، وBS 4515
معرفة تقنية قوية بعمليات اللحام مثل SMAW، FCAW (الدرع الداخلي والخارجي)، STT ولحام مواد مثل الفولاذ الكربوني والفولاذ المطلي CRA
القدرة على قراءة وفهم وثائق مواصفات إجراءات اللحام وخطة التفتيش
مهارات كتابة تقارير جيدة
