• Manage and control project costs from inception to completion, ensuring profitability and adherence to budget.
• Prepare and submit accurate interim and final accounts, including variations and claims, to clients and subcontractors.
• Negotiate and agree on contract terms, valuations, and final accounts with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Identify, assess, and manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Procure and manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with contract terms and specifications.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with contract documents.
• Prepare and present regular cost reports and financial forecasts to project management and stakeholders.
• Resolve contractual disputes and claims efficiently and effectively, minimizing financial and legal exposure.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies.
• Foster strong working relationships with project teams, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure commercial success.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as MRICS, MCIOB, or equivalent is highly advantageous.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience specifically within the infrastructure sector (roads, bridges, utilities, etc.).
• Proven track record in managing large-scale infrastructure projects from a commercial perspective.
• Proficiency in using cost management software (e.g., CostX, Aconex, Oracle Primavera) and standard office suites.
• In-depth knowledge of FIDIC, NEC, or other relevant infrastructure contract forms.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
• Good physical stamina and ability to conduct regular site inspections in varying environmental conditions.
