Job Details

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the civil materials store at the project site.

  • Receive, inspect, verify, and document incoming civil construction materials against purchase orders, delivery notes, material requisitions, and approved specifications.

  • Ensure materials are properly identified, counted, segregated, and stored in designated areas.

  • Maintain accurate records of receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and stock balances.

  • Issue materials to construction teams based on approved material requisitions and authorized requests.

  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement and project teams to ensure timely replenishment of critical materials.

  • Maintain proper storage and preservation of cement, steel, reinforcement bars, aggregates, pipes, fittings, waterproofing materials, chemicals, and other civil construction materials.

  • Ensure materials are stored in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and project quality requirements.

  • Maintain proper documentation and traceability of materials, including batch numbers, heat numbers, expiry dates, and test certificates where applicable.

  • Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile inventory with system and manual records.

  • Identify shortages, excesses, damaged materials, obsolete stock, and discrepancies and report them to the concerned management.

  • Coordinate with QA/QC personnel for inspection, approval, quarantine, and release of materials.

  • Ensure rejected or non-conforming materials are clearly identified and segregated from approved stock.

  • Monitor material consumption and support project teams in controlling wastage and unnecessary usage.

  • Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure the store and surrounding areas remain clean, organized, and accessible.

  • Ensure safe handling, loading, unloading, stacking, and movement of materials within the store and project site.

  • Coordinate with logistics and site teams for material transportation and delivery to work fronts.

  • Maintain records of tools, equipment, consumables, and other project assets under store control.

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and material movement reports as required.

  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, project requirements, HSE standards, and relevant UAE regulations.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate inventory records and supporting documentation.

  • Assist in material planning and forecasting based on project requirements and construction schedules.

  • Perform other store and material-control duties assigned by the Project Manager or management.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Strong knowledge of construction materials and store management practices.

  • Good understanding of civil construction materials, tools, consumables, and equipment.

  • Strong inventory control and documentation skills.

  • Ability to maintain accurate stock records and conduct physical stock verification.

  • Knowledge of material receiving, inspection, storage, preservation, and issuance procedures.

  • Good understanding of material traceability and quality-control requirements.

  • Strong coordination skills with procurement, QA/QC, logistics, and construction teams.

  • Good knowledge of MS Office and inventory/store management systems.

  • Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple material requirements simultaneously.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong awareness of workplace safety and proper material-handling practices.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Stores Management, Materials Management, or a related field.

  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in store/material management, preferably within construction, power, infrastructure, or EPC projects.

  • Hands-on experience managing civil construction materials at large project sites is preferred.

  • Experience in power projects, substations, industrial projects, or infrastructure projects will be an advantage.

  • UAE/GCC experience is preferred.

  • Familiarity with ERP/inventory management systems and UAE construction practices will be an added advantage.
