Role Description The Vice President – Compliance is a part-time, remote role responsible for overseeing the compliance framework for Khalid Bin Sultan City’s operations and initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include developing and maintaining compliance policies and procedures, monitoring adherence to regulatory requirements, and assessing compliance risks across key functions. The role involves collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams to align compliance practices with the city’s sustainability, technology, culture, and people pillars. The Vice President – Compliance will review contracts and partnerships for compliance implications, lead internal audits or reviews, and provide guidance on regulatory changes impacting urban development and smart city operations. The role also includes preparing compliance reports for senior stakeholders and promoting a culture of integrity and accountability. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Compliance Management, including designing and implementing organization-wide compliance frameworks and controls. Strong knowledge of Regulatory Compliance, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant laws, regulations, and standards to smart city and urban development contexts. Advanced Analytical Skills to assess compliance risks, analyze complex information, and develop practical recommendations. Background in Finance or Financial Services, with experience managing compliance in financial operations, budgeting, or public-private partnerships. Proven leadership experience in a senior compliance, risk management, or governance role, preferably within large-scale development, infrastructure, or technology-driven environments. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to provide clear guidance to executive leadership and cross-functional teams. Relevant academic qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in law, finance, business, public policy, or a related field; professional certifications in compliance or risk management are an advantage. Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities on a part-time schedule, and operate with high ethical standards.
