About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer with a strong main contractor background and proven experience working on hotel, residential apartment, and building construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating structural engineering activities from site execution through completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and design documents.

• Coordinate structural works with site teams, consultants, subcontractors, and other disciplines.

• Monitor structural construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.

• Review shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical documents.

• Coordinate with consultants and design teams regarding RFIs, technical clarifications, and design changes.

• Identify and resolve structural and technical issues encountered during construction.

• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure structural works meet required quality standards.

• Monitor progress of structural works and coordinate with the project team to meet project schedules.

• Ensure compliance with UAE building regulations, applicable codes, HSE requirements, and project specifications.

• Prepare technical reports and maintain accurate project documentation.

• Support the Project Manager and Construction Manager in all structural engineering matters.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.

• Minimum 8 years of relevant UAE experience.

• Strong experience with a main contractor / construction company is mandatory.

• Proven experience in hotel, residential apartment, and building construction projects.

• Strong knowledge of structural construction methods, drawings, and site execution.

• Good knowledge of UAE construction standards, codes, and authority requirements.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant engineering software.

• Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.

Candidates with consultancy experience will not be considered.
