Job Details

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day fit-out activities for accommodation spaces, including cabins, galleys, mess rooms, offices, sanitary units, and recreation areas

  • Supervise and coordinate installation of partitions, ceilings, insulation, flooring, wall linings, doors, windows, joinery, and furniture

  • Read and interpret general arrangement drawings, outfitting plans, and shop drawings, and ensure works follow them

  • Coordinate with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection teams for integrated installation

  • Monitor material availability, manage requisitions, and track deliveries against the project schedule

  • Carry out quality inspections, snagging, and punch list closure

  • Support testing, commissioning, and handover documentation

  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and classification society or third-party surveyors

  • Prepare daily progress reports, manpower records, and inspection documentation

  • Enforce HSE requirements, permit-to-work procedures, and safe working practices on site

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Marine, Mechanical, Civil, Interior/Architectural, Industrial, or Offshore Engineering (or a related field)

Experience

  • 1-3 years of fit-out experience in marine, offshore, modular, oil and gas, or commercial construction environments

  • Experience in shipyard, offshore, or accommodation module fit-out is a strong advantage

Skills and Attributes

  • Ability to read and work from engineering and construction drawings

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD; MS Office proficiency, especially Excel and Word

  • Good understanding of fit-out materials, finishes, and installation methods

  • Familiarity with inspection and test plans (ITPs) and quality documentation

  • Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines

  • Comfortable working in yard, workshop, and offshore or site conditions, including the UAE climate

  • Good command of English; Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is an advantage

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of IMO, SOLAS, MLC 2006, or class society rules (ABS, DNV, Lloyd's Register, BV)

  • Basic HSE certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHAD/ADNOC HSE induction)

  • Experience with Primavera P6 or MS Project

  • Valid UAE driving licence
