Lead group-wide financial reporting, including monthly management accounts and consolidated IFRS financial statements across all business segments.
Own the annual budgeting, business planning and rolling forecast process; provide variance analysis and performance insight to the CEO and Board.
Manage the statutory audit cycle and relationships with external auditors; ensure timely, clean audit sign-off for the holding company and subsidiaries.
Prepare Board and Audit Committee papers covering financial performance, risk, tax position and capital allocation.
Address sector-specific accounting matters: hotel operator / HMA reporting and USALI, lease accounting and investment property (IAS 40), revenue recognition on construction contracts (IFRS 15), inventory and trade finance, and fair value of investments (IFRS 9/13).
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA / ACA / FCA / CPA or equivalent).
UAE Tax: Certificate in UAE Corporate Tax and UAE VAT law from a recognised body .
CT Filing: Proven hands-on experience having completed and filed UAE Corporate Tax returns for at least one full tax period, including computations, elections and disclosures.
Experience: 15+ years of post-qualification experience, with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role (FD, CFO, Group Financial Controller) in the UAE/GCC.
International Tax: Sound working knowledge of cross-border taxation, double tax treaties and transfer pricing principles (UAE TP rules and OECD Guidelines).
Transactions: Demonstrated experience supporting M&A transactions, investments and related tax structuring and due diligence.
Reporting: Strong command of IFRS and group consolidation for a multi-entity, multi-sector structure.
