Principal Accountabilities:

• Carries out maintenance activities on Control and SCADA system equipment and associated interfaces to ensure system availability for continuous production operation.
• Participates in fault-finding on all Control and SCADA equipment located in operating control rooms in Central complex, ACPTs, Satellite and Wellhead platforms. Checks completed work by using specialized test programs and system tools.
• Develops and implement preventive and routine maintenance programs and procedures, and recommends modifications and enhancement in order to improve the reliability and availability of the systems.
• Establishes criteria and participates as required in Design Technical Review Meetings, Site Surveys, Factory Acceptance Tests, Site Acceptance Tests and installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning and handover activities in implementation of new projects, especially in modernization of Control and SCADA system.
• Conducts tests to identify and recommend solutions for interface problems between the Instrumentation, Telecommunications and network equipment and liaise with the appropriate sections as required.
• Monitors spare parts, consumables and equipment stock levels and issues requisitions to replenish stock level on a regular basis; recommends modifications on agreed levels. In addition, exercises financial authority at the level established by Team Leader.
• Ensures all maintenance documentation is completed correctly, including the maintenance log, outlining the cause of the fault, the work carried out and the time, labor and materials used; submits daily, weekly and monthly reports on work progress and specific technical reports as requested.
• Carries out other similar or related duties such as forwarding faulty parts to the laboratory in Abu Dhabi for repair, ensuring appropriate safety permits are obtained before starting work.
• Submits regular/spot reports on any system part which is either requiring more than normal anticipated intervention or is approaching the end of its life cycle. The recommendations could specify possible replacements or other remedial actions.
• Investigates and isolates operational problems referred by users of the systems and implements the necessary modifications, conducting tests to ensure correct functioning with least interruption to Production activities.
