Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to lead and manage our multi-country digital transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will oversee projects in border control, digital ID, cyber security, and digital payments. This role requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record in the industry and extensive experience in the concerned regions.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resources required. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including government officials, technology partners, and internal teams, to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and report on project progress, addressing issues as they arise.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring clear communication, effective collaboration, and adherence to project goals and deadlines.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations and best practices.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports, project plans, and post-implementation reviews.
Implementation Oversight: Provide hands-on leadership during the implementation phase, ensuring all aspects of the project are executed as planned. Troubleshoot implementation challenges and ensure seamless integration of new systems and processes.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement best practices and lessons learned from each project to improve future project execution and outcomes.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of project management experience in border control, digital ID, cyber security, and digital payments.
Regional Expertise: Demonstrable experience managing projects in the Middle-East or African countries.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. PMP or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Travel: Willingness to travel frequently to project sites in the Middle East, Africa, and the Caribbean.
