Civil / Technical Engineer (Concrete)

Our International Main Civil Contracting client has a new requirement for a well experienced Technical Engineer to join their team in Abu Dhabi to work on a heritage project in the Emirate. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Technical Engineer on heritage structural conservation projects with deep understanding of concrete repair methods and cathodic protection systems. Preference will be given to profiles with a proven track record of working in recognised main contractor companies in the UAE previously. This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent opportunity employed by our client. Key Responsibilities: Overseeing the technical aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Collaborating with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project specifications are met. Reviewing project plans and blueprints to identify potential issues and make recommendations for improvements. Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve any technical issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Managing and maintaining project documentation, including drawings, contracts, and change orders. Coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment. Assisting in the preparation of project budgets and cost estimates. Providing technical support and guidance to project teams, including resolving any technical problems that arise during construction. Keeping up-to-date with industry best practices and new technologies to enhance project efficiency and quality. Communicating effectively with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities, to ensure project success.

Technical Engineer (Concrete) Experience: Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering Minimum 5 years in civil construction, ideally at least 2 years previous experience in a recognised UAE main contractor company. Experience in concrete repair methods and cathodic protection systems is essential Prior experience of working on heritage structural conservation projects would be highly advantageous Adaptability, ability to work under pressure, accepting to change, managing change at work.
