Individual Learning Support Assistant ILSA

Key Responsibilities:

 

Promote the learning and personal development of their designated pupil.

Provide support both inside the classroom and in other learning areas as required.

Skills

Skills and Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum of a high school certificate or a Bachelor's degree.
  • A recognised certification in SEN (Special Educational Needs).
  • Previous relevant experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar capacity is preferred.
  • Knowledge of strategies that promote good behaviour and discipline.
  • Supportive of the learning environment ethos.
  • Caring and tolerant nature.
  • Ability to acquire additional knowledge to contribute effectively and confidently to classes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in literacy and numeracy.
  • ICT capability.
