Key Performance Areas included but not limited to:
- Responsibility for ensuring schedules and programs of work is adhered to and delivered to a high quality and ensure consistent standards are achieved.
- To ensure contractual outputs are met including regular quality audits.
- To identify areas of commercial savings within current contracts.

- To ensure health and safety policies are adhered to and all appropriate documentation is prepared and maintained i.e., risk assessments, method statements etc.
- Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians and custodial staff.
- Develop, implement, and oversee preventative maintenance schedules for all facilities.
- Ensure timely response and resolution to maintenance requests and emergencies.
- Manage and coordinate repair activities to minimize disruption to operations.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Monitor and control expenses to stay within budgetary constraints.
- Oversee the procurement and inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance.
- Identify opportunities for facility upgrades and improvements.
- Plan and oversee facility renovation projects.
- Maintain effective communication with other departments to understand their maintenance needs and priorities.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders.
- Assist factory operations manager in formulation of annual BP.
- Supervise and support the stores admin in processing orders and inventory control.
- Always follow Group and company policies and procedures.
- Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.
Skills
Knowledge:
- Computer literate in the areas of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Similar managerial experience in a large-scale food manufacturing site environment over 10,000 m2
- Strong written and verbal communication style and ability to adapt style to meet needs to different business units.
- Proven track record in budgetary control.
Experience
- Certification in Facilities Management (CFM) or similar credential.
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of environmental sustainability practices.
- At least 10 years experience in a managerial role of skilled teams and contract workers.
- H&S – Ability to formulate Risk Assessments/method statements and safe systems of work.
- Ability to instruct and control contractors.
- Contracts management
- Full Driving Licence is essential.
- Must have experience with onsite water treatment plants, ammonia plants, boilers, steam systems, on-site generators.
- Fire Systems
- Must experience as part of a management team working under an international food safety standard such as BRC,IFS,FSSC 22000,HACCP.
