Job description
This is an opportunity for you to be responsible and manage all the Pipeline Engineering activities and deliverables of the project. Focus on mechanical engineering and design and interface with other discipline engineers as required
Your main duties will be to:-
- Reviewing and approving mechanical design standards and specifications and utilizing sectorand safety best-practices.
- Manage all pipeline engineering activities
- Review and approve process design.
- Prepare, check and approve all pipeline engineering deliverables.
- Assuring that work and project promises are successfully delivered and appropriate reviews have been conducted.
- Propose and execute design review activities as appropriate.
- Provide support to other departments on pipeline works.
- Provide input to field change proposals (FCP's).
- Provide discipline support to various department/projects.
- Carry out/support on front-end studies for capital projects
- Prepare Projects reports to document the various requests, as appropriate.
- To coordinate design activities
- Pursue new technology opportunities.
- Resolution of department non-conformities, and review and approval of documents relevant to pipeline Engineering matters.
- Preparation/review/approval of pipeline documents and drawings.
- Provide support to design review, HAZOP action, and close out activities.
- Responsible for procedures, standards, guidelines, specifications etc related to pipeline engineering as applicable.
- Participate on emergency situations in-line with line of expertise and responsibilities.
- Adhere to all HSE standards and specification of OGC.
- Implement all Quality and HSE requirements coming under your area of jurisdiction
- Other duties as assigned in line with expertise.
Skills,Experience and Education
- Essential Candidate Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 20 yrs experience within the Oil and Gas industry, of which at least 10 yrs. are in handling projects related to offshore
- Must have 3 years of Project Management Consultant and Middle East experience.
- Fully familiar with international codes, standards and recommended practices to be applied for oil/gas projects during EPC phase
- Experience to manage EPC deliverables for owner is distinctly preferred
- Must have proven ability to contribute during development of system studies and Hazop / Safety reviews
- Fluency in English, both written and oral.
- Being able to assess situations in the context of the full business ecosystem

- Using leadership skills to build and nurture relationships and creating effective working environments
- Able to manage multiple teams with diverse backgrounds on geographically and culturally diverse teams
