Telecommunications Engineer

Charterhouse are looking for a skilled Telecommunications Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team. This role will involve managing and supporting corporate communication and surveillance systems, including VHF/UHF radios, Microwave Point-to-Point systems, CCTV surveillance, telephony, and other related applications.

About the role
The telecommunications engineer will collaborate closely with various departments to deliver integrated projects, ensuring that all systems are optimized and running smoothly. They will design, implement and maintain the microwave radio communication, telecommunication, VHF/UHF radio communication and CCTV system. This role will also help to develop strategies for maintaining network communication infrastructure. Additionally, the role will have responsibilities such as specifying, setting up and configuring complex, communication environments, wired and wireless that support simplex / duplex voice and video applications.

About you
To be considered for this role, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunications or a related discipline. A minimum of five years of experience is required, specifically in the design, deployment, and maintenance of telecommunication and video management systems. Candidates must have in-depth expertise in Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multipoint microwave networks, VoIP systems, handheld radios, satellite communications, and video conferencing solutions.

Candidates should have a strong understanding of ISO/IEC 27001 standards and be familiar with LAN, WAN, and wireless networks. Knowledge of current technological trends is important. The ideal candidate will demonstrate effective project management and troubleshooting skills, with excellent communication and a proactive, team-oriented approach. They must be able to manage tasks independently, set priorities, and meet deadlines. A valid UAE driver’s license is required for this position.
