Job Purpose
The Assistant Manager, FP&A, will play a critical role in providing financial insights and support to assist the Group in driving strategic decision-making. The position requires a thorough understanding of budgeting, planning, financial analysis and performance reporting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Coordinate the annual budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with the Group’s stated strategic objectives and approved budgets.
- Management Reporting & Variance Analysis: Produce timely comprehensive monthly and quarterly management reporting packs, with thorough analysis of financial performance and provide insights on variances, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Long-range Financial Models: Collaborate with subsidiaries and investee companies to produce a consolidated view of the long-range financial models including AUM, Return profiles, and cash flows of the Group along with major assumptions and highlights and variance analysis.
- FP&A Tool & Dashboard Development: Play a leadership role in qualifying and implementing a new Group level FP&A tool and dashboard to consolidate data from all group entities and departments, and significantly enhancing the Group’s reporting process in terms of time and quality.
- KPI Reporting: Collaborate with the Strategy Team to update the Group’s scorecards and progress against KPIs.
- Ad-hoc Projects: Provide support on special projects with a focus on financial analysis of business cases, scenario planning, sensitivity testing, and assessing the impact of various business variables
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to synthesize, analyze and gather financial information.
- Strategic Initiatives: Contribute to the development and execution of the company’s strategic initiatives through detailed financial analysis and focus on long term stated objectives.
Experience and competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field, CFA or CPA qualification is a plus. MBA or a Master’s degree from a well-recognized university is an added advantage.
- High proficiency in financial modelling and analysis tools, including Excel, ThinkCell, and Power Bi.
- Strong understanding of investment management in a diversified portfolio environment.
- 10 years of experience preferably within a family office, investment firm, or similar environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to senior management and stakeholders.
- High level of integrity, professionalism and demonstrated teamwork.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on providing actionable insights.
- Extensive experience in dashboard development, data visualization, FP&A tools implementation, and user interface design.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and deliver high-quality results.
