National Sales Manager

Role Purpose

The National Sales Manager will be responsible to lead and develop the sales organization (Salesmen, Assistant Salesman, Merchandisers and Supervisors) in UAE organization to achieve company objectives. He will coordinate with other leaders to achieve exceptional daily operation, targeted distribution, in-store fundamentals and operational efficiency. He will also coordinate with customers at store and headquarter level to make sure that as a company we provide the best-in-class service.


Key Accountabilities:

1- Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, mentor and motivate a sales team to ensure high performance.
  • Conduct regular training sessions and performance evaluations to enhance team skills.
  • Establishing clear, achievable sales targets and individual goals aligned with the company’s overall objectives. This helps in tracking performance and maintaining focus.
  • Monitoring individual and team performance against targets, conducting regular reviews, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Facilitating open communication within the team and between departments. Keeping everyone informed about company policies, updates, and changes in strategy.
  • Addressing and resolving conflicts within the team promptly and fairly, ensuring a harmonious work environment.
  • Supporting the HR team on the hiring process to find out the right candidates.

2- Daily Operations

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the sales department
  • Ensure the accuracy and consistency of daily operation to provide the best-in-class service to our customers.
  • Ensure sales and operation cycles are executed daily with 100% compliance, do the root cause analysis and take necessary actions on operational issues to mitigate future risks
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team to make sure that all operations are running to one direction.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘best industry practices’ to improve business processes, cost efficiency and productivity.
  • Lead the daily order, allocation, loading cycle with the help of supply chain organization.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
  • Track in-store fundamental results and executions daily.

3- Sales Operations

  • Lead nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets.
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with other departments.
  • Collaborate with the key account team to make sure all customer level agreements and priorities are well understood and executed by the sales team.
  • Negotiate and close agreements with proximity customers.
  • Track and develop key performance metrics (journey plan compliance, drop size, coverage, must sell SKU list…).
  • Ensure excellent innovation execution in coverage.
  • Improve shelf share, display share and feature share results.
  • Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve sales targets.

4-Policies, Processes & Procedures

  • Recommend enhancements and improvements to departmental policies in order to contribute to the development of the sales and overall company strategy
  • Manage the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective services
  • Ensure information feed into systems accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure both facility and information security across respective locations, in line with company security policies.

5-Safety, Quality & Environment

  • Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the region in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude.


Job Requirement:

  • FMCG – Dairy Industry
  • 10+ years of sales experience in the dairy industry or related food sector, with at least 3 years in a management role.
  • In depth knowledge of managing a high-performance sales team.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Customer oriented with strong negotiation skills.
  • Analytical and data driven problem solver.
  • Advanced (Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
  • Driving License.
