Chief Operating Officer

Genius Group is a growing company and we are looking for a chief operating officer based out of the Dubai location, who is capable of taking us to the next level. As a chief operating officer (COO) you should have strong leadership skills and the ability to approach business and should have a strong understanding of the operational requirements and insights. The COO will lead our team of high-performing professionals to be efficient, productive, and effective. The ideal candidate has extensive experience within our industry, preferably having worked their way up to an executive role. We believe this trajectory helps a person develop a unique mix of business and management expertise, plus proficiency with the practices, policies, and procedures of our industry. Responsibilities


  • Maintains and directs the daily operations of the business, including coordinating with legal, sales, marketing, accounting, IT and other departments executing the strategies of the top management team
  • Manage capital investments and expenses aggressively to ensure that the company achieves investor targets for growth and profitability
  • Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning.
  • Developing actionable business strategies, objectives, and plans that ensure alignment with short- and long-term objectives developed in tandem with the CEO
  • Implementing financial procedures and organizational policies and programs to drive the company’s operating capabilities to surpass the industry average.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational goals are met
  • Collaborate with Global leadership team members (CEO, CFO, CMO, CTO), develop and implement business strategies and ensure that work, projects and tasks are completed with high quality and meet deadlines.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Leads special projects and initiatives for Genius Group. Integrates new initiatives and associated deliverables in core activities. Navigates and leads cross-functional teams and cross-community partnerships.



Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a COO or in a similar executive leadership role in a fast-paced environment, leading a min of $100 million USD revenue.
  • Experience with designing and implementing business strategies, plans, and procedures to promote company growth and efficiency.
  • Experience working with Edtech or tech industry is a must.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, board of directors and other C-level officers
  • In-depth understanding of the industry including edtech, ecommerce, .
  • This person must be tech savvy and should understand the changing world of technology.
  • Knowledge on Salesforce is an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and evaluate data and metrics, with a deep understanding of business operations and processes.
  • Experience in developing and implementing operational policies and procedures, with a focus on driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Project management experience an advantage
  • A track record of successful financial management and experience in fundraising is a plus
