Job Description

• Supervise a team of process engineers to translate the limited information from the Concept Selection Report and/or Basis for Design to a full process design and project specifications.
• Supervise a team of process engineers to carry out the Process Engineering FEED activities (Define stage) for an assigned area of a specific project in order to generate the relevant Process Engineering FEED deliverables on time according to DCAF requirements.
• Prepare Process Engineering Cost, Time and Resource (CTR) Catalogue for projects.
• Supervise a team of process engineers assigned to a project area (supervised by Project process Lead).
• Contribute to Basis for Design, Basis of Design, and Project Specifications/Philosophies.
• Carry out/review Process Simulations Models and Flare & Blowdown Simulations.
• Generate/review Heat & Material Balance (H&MB) Tables.
• Develop/review Process/Utility Flow Schemes and Control Narrative.
• Develop/review Process/Utility Engineering Flow Schemes and Process Safeguarding Flow Schemes.
• Review Sizing for Process Equipment and Relief Valves.
• Carry out/review Line Hydraulics and provide/review Inputs to Line Listing.
• Develop/review Safeguarding Memorandum.
• Carry out Process Engineering Studies.
• Participate in Design Reviews, HAZOPs, IPF Classifications, 3D Model review, Plot plan, etc.
• Implement, practise, and monitor Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001-2008.
• Manage Process Inputs to:
• Material Selection Report
• Cause & Effect Diagrams.
• Instrument Data Sheets.
• Alarm & Trip Setting.
• Hazardous Area Classification Schedule.
• Initiate, check, and/or approve Process Engineering Deliverables.

Position Purpose –

• Basic & detail Design Engineering activities for the assigned project(s) in Petrochemical Plants, Oil & Gas Plants, Offshore Drilling Rigs etc., in accordance with the Company established procedures. Activity planning, work scheduling, assigning responsibilities to Engineers & Draftsmen, and monitoring to meet the project schedule with resource optimization.
• Preparation / review of PFD, P&ID’s, project specific specifications, design calculation / analysis, procurement specification.
• Interface with other disciplines, user departments and Clients.
• Estimation / engineering work related to bids.

Qualifications:

• B.E. / B.TECH. / B.S. – CHEMICAL ENGINEERING
• Specialization in Petroleum / Petro Chemical Engineering preferred

Experience:

• Minimum 15 years in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical Design Engineering (with minimum 5 – 6 experience in Oil & Gas industry, in consulting OR EPC company with Design & Engineering capability)

Software Skills:

• Hands on experience in software such as HYSYS, PIPENET, PIPEPHASE, FLARENET
