KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Define Technical requirements and ensure compliance for assigned works. Carryout study assessments, preliminary review of plant modifications / changes and raise RES to CED as relevant.
• Carry out site surveys of existing facilities to establish and identify the actual requirements.
• Review engineering design carried out by Consultant/Engineering Companies including feasibility, conceptual, basic and detailed engineering as applicable.
• Coordinate with other discipline engineers during the development / execution of works.
• Prepare technical / tender documents including data sheets / specifications for material procurement, testing and commissioning including creation of VAP as relevant.
• Carry out Technical Bid Evaluations of bid documents for services and materials required for the works. Participate in the clarification meetings with Contractors and Vendors. Carryout Technical Evaluation and appraisal reports.
• Review and Approve Contractor’s / Vendor’s drawings and documents relevant to jobs handled.
• Review updated technical drawings / documents ensuring conformity to as-built status with respect to Design and Technical requirements and forward to Central Documentation.
• Develop / Update cost estimates and schedules for the works.
• Assist Team Leader in providing technical support to the asset in all aspects as relevant.
• Supervise and Monitor progress and performance of the construction contractor to ensure that works are performed to the approved schedule, specifications and standards.
• Review / Approve contractor’s / Vendor’s invoices.
• Assist and participate in troubleshooting, plant start-up and commissioning and provide technical advice and assistance to plant operation / maintenance sections and participate in operations review / audit.
• Ensures that close-out procedures for all contracts are being complied with including control of project as-built documentation, material reconciliation and close-out reports.
• Training and development of national engineers as mentor as assigned.
