Job Description – Accountant
Location: Dubai, UAE
Job Summary
The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, and supporting management with timely financial reports. The role requires strong knowledge of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate books of accounts including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations
Handle accounts payable and receivable functions
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow management
Manage VAT filing and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Maintain proper documentation for audits and internal reviews
Coordinate with auditors, banks, and external consultants when required
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Support management with financial analysis and MIS reporting
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Professional certifications such as CA (Inter), CMA, ACCA, or equivalent are an advantage
Minimum 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE
Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and accounting practices
Skills Required
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Zoho Books, or similar)
Strong knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting tools
Good understanding of financial controls and compliance
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks
Good communication and coordination skills
