Job Description:

Define and lead the Group’s technology strategy across Sudan, UAE, Bahrain, and subsidiaries. Oversee digital banking growth, modernize core banking platforms, and integrate fintech solutions with emerging technologies like AI/ML, blockchain, RPA, and open banking APIs.

Manage group-wide IT infrastructure (data centers, cloud, networks, disaster recovery), enforce unified governance, and optimize multi-million-dollar budgets. Establish robust cybersecurity frameworks, deploy zero-trust security, and ensure regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.

Foster a culture of digital innovation, lead and mentor IT teams across multiple markets, and partner with HR to recruit, retain, and upskill top talent.

Build strong relationships with regulators, auditors, and external partners. Manage global vendor contracts, fintech partnerships, and technology SLAs.

Qualifications: 

Open to Male candidates with fluency in English and Arabic, preferably between 40 to 50 years old

Must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent executive qualification is an advantage

15 years of experience in multi-country banking operations or financial services technology (preferably in MENA or similar regions) including at least 7 years in a group or regional leadership role.

Strong expertise in core banking platforms (Azentio, Temenos, Finacle, Flexcube), financial messaging & APIs (ISO 20022, SWIFT), cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, FFIEC), cloud computing, AI/ML, blockchain, open banking APIs, and RPA is a must.
