Responsibilities:
To Design, develop, build, and maintain automated systems that make operational processes more efficient, boost productivity, and uphold high standards of quality and safety.
Apply knowledge & experience of control systems, programming, and modern technologies to improve operations, resolve technical issues, and support continuous improvement, specifically for onboard dredging automation systems and all related SCADA installations.
Optimize control algorithm to enhance system performance and efficiency.
Integrate sensors, actuators, and other hardware components into automated system.
Collaborate with onboard mechanical & electrical engineers for seamless system integration.
Conduct thorough testing of automation system to ensure functionality and reliability.
Validate system performance against design specification.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to automation system promptly.
Provide technical support for planned and routine maintenance & repair.
Identify opportunity for process improvement and automation enhancement.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for automation design, programming, and configuration.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulation, and safety protocol.
Collaborate with cross functional teams, including mechanical engineer, software developers and project managers.
Provide training to operators and maintenance staffs on the use and maintenance of automation systems.
Facilitate knowledge transfer to ensure skilled and capable workforce.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communication or Mechatronics.
Technical Proficiency
·PLC Programming: Proficient in programming and configuring PLCs
·Control Systems: Knowledge of designing and implementing control systems for industrial automation
·Instrumentation: Skills in selecting and integrating sensors, actuators, and other instrumentation
