We are looking for a Lead Eng Associate II - UAE National Only to join our office in Abu Dhabi.

The incumbent will be required to support team/job shadowing on assignments starting from study-phase through designing, implementation, documenting, delivering and maintaining APC, WFC and BMA solutions primarily in Middle East Region.

The job requirement will involve multiple skills of chemical engineering such as heat and mass transfer knowledge, understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics and control theory. The incumbent need to collaborate with a team of engineers, run simulations, and communicate findings to stakeholders

Candidate will learn software technologies to achieve process optimization (PO) solutions across Oil & Gas, Refiner, chemical, minerals industries (after appropriate initial training in all relevant packages).

The position is a direct staff position with billability to external customer projects.

The applicant will have a direct reporting line to the Engineering Manager for process optimization.

The applicant will be responsible for:

• Is able to contribute in technical discussions in the areas of asset performance, digital integrations and / or data driven models.

• Using scientific, mathematical and engineering principles to solve problems and improve processes

• Designing, proposing, implementing, reviewing and correcting plans to ensure company goals are achieved

• Use computers to compile and analyze data

• Travel to work sites and locations to learn about project needs and design

• Assist with establishing budgets and timelines

• Support development of conceptual, user requirement, functional and detailed technical design specifications and provides support and broad expertise for the Process optimization (APC/WFC/BMA) applications.

• Establishing acceptance of designs with customer stakeholders. Translating and conveying impact of process and system changes to bottom line and articulating the benefits & value to the customer.

• Ensures that the appropriate test scripts, test data, test logs, & defect logs are in place to ensure quality delivery.

• Support change management within customer organization through preparation of business process diagrams, preparing training & best practice documentation, conducting training sessions.

• Shares technical knowledge with project team, supervisor, own discipline and other disciplines.

• Communicate with internal team regarding technical issues, escalating these early in the project.

Position requires approximately 60% travel mostly in the Middle East

• Minimum Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering.

• Preferably holds industrial IT technology certificates (e.g. Visual basic, Python and / or state-of-the-art Programming Languages).

• Good written and oral communication skills (in English & Arabic).
