We are seeking an experienced IT specialist and Desktop Support Engineer to provide essential technical support for end-user computing environments. In this crucial Field Engineer role, you will be the frontline for troubleshooting hardware, software, and application issues, delivering timely and effective solutions to ensure business continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day local and remote desktop support, receiving inbound calls and troubleshooting issues documented in a ticketing system.
- Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot Windows OS (7, 8.1, 10), Microsoft Office, authorized applications, printers, and computer hardware.
- Perform preventative maintenance and remedial repairs on desktops, laptops, printers, and authorized peripheral equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve problems associated with network connectivity, and workstation hardware/software using diagnostic tools.
- Work with third-party vendors to remediate complex issues as needed and provide timely communication on issue status and resolution.
- Maintain accurate ticket updates for all reported incidents and facilitate resolution consistency.
- Mentor and assist other technicians, providing guidance and support within the team.
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 18 months to 3 years of hands-on IT Field Engineer or Desktop Support experience.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office suite.
- Good fundamental understanding of networks, servers, and IT infrastructure.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic network issues.
- Basic knowledge of Mac operating systems is a positive.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (local language is a positive point).
- Exceptional customer service, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive problem-solver who can work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
