Job Details

•    Diagnose and assess patient’s injuries or diseases through diagnostic test, such as X-rays to look for broken bones or blood tests to check for rheumatoid arthritis.
•    Administer, recommend and implement non-invasive treatments to address musculoskeletal problems.
•    Cast and splint limbs, recommend rehabilitative exercises, or prescribe supplements and medications to strengthen joints or minimize pain.
•    They may plate broken bones, reattach tendons and ligaments, or perform joint or hip replacements, among other procedure.
•    Ensure that medical records are complete and accurate.
•    Treat most muscles and skeletal problems including arthritis, congenital deformities, or trauma injuries.
•    Orthopedic surgeons are the final port of call for bone-related injuries/diseases such as torn ligaments, ruptured discs, osteoporosis, sciatica, and bone tumor to mention but a few.
•     Studying the medical history of patients to identify the pattern to a disorder.
•    Carry out research to develop and improve on existing operating procedures and surgical technique
•    Update families on the progress of treatment as well as steps necessary for recovery and create care plans for patients after surgery.
•    They may refer patients to other healthcare professionals such as physiotherapist and physician/surgeons for additional medical care.
•    Responsible to provide medical care by performing physical exams, designing treatment and therapeutic plans.
•    Keep tracking of patient’s progress to determine what needs to be done.
•    Often in-charge of the entire orthopedic department including the physician’s assistants, nurses and surgery technicians.

Qualifications:

•    Education:
    A completion of MBBS or MBChB or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution
    Completion of Specialty qualification as per the Recognized Specialty Certificate table
•    License:
    The physician will maintain at all times an active license in home country and an active DOH License consistent with specialty practiced at Bareen International Hospital.
•    Experience:
    5 to 7 years’ clinical experience.
