Job Details

Support Unit Managers in managing complex multi‑product Group relationships (Turnover > AED 3Bn) and sourcing new relationships across defined segments and geographies by originating transactions across the Bank’s product suite to meet financial and non‑financial goals. Assist in deal origination and coordinate between clients and product teams during mandate execution. Work with Credit Relationship Managers on financial analysis, credit risk assessment, risk rating, and structuring facilities, including client meetings, preparing Credit Proposals (new, renewals, amendments), and liaising with WRM and Compliance to resolve queries. Maximize use of approved credit limits by facilitating transactions and addressing operational or documentation requirements. Provide backup to the Unit Manager in executing Relationship Strategy and Account Plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Review existing portfolio in a timely manner, prepare and recommend appropriate credit facilities in line with the bank's credit policy to maximize earnings while containing risk to an acceptable level, and achieve a satisfactory rating on portfolio quality and credit management processes.
  • Quick and timely turnaround of CPs while maintaining quality of analysis.
  • Develop strong working relations with all existing clients at the decision making level, to position MB as their preferred bank.
  • Hands-on account management to ensure effective and timely delivery of the banks' services/products to clients through proactive interaction across the bank, to attain desired level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain an active pipeline; focusing on 'new to bank' transactions / business.
  • Monitor account conduct of borrowers and provide information at each review, thereby ensuring effective portfolio management and ensuring that the portfolio quality is maintained by highlighting early warning signals.
  • Remain vigilant to the possibility of any money laundering activities in the accounts, and escalate all suspected money laundering cases to the Unit Manager and Group Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO).

Qualifications:
  • In-depth understanding of multiple product areas of the bank, thus having the capability to constructively engage with client senior management to drive new business opportunities
  • In-depth knowledge of the Bank's policies and operating systems.
  • Strong credit and marketing skills with understanding of economic trends vis-à-vis understanding of regional / global financial markets.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication ability.
  • Minimum 5 - 10 years of relevant experience is required.
