Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a leading home furnishing and high-end textile manufacturing company. Our client is looking to hire a Showroom/Store Manager who will be responsible for the overall operation, profitability, and customer experience of our showroom. This role requires a unique blend of sales leadership, design sensibility, operational excellence, and team development. You will not only manage the day-to-day but also inspire your team to deliver an exceptional, consultative service that turns visitors into loyal clients.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Client Experience
- Drive showroom sales to meet and exceed monthly and annual targets.
- Lead by example as a top-performing sales consultant, providing expert advice on carpet, rug selection, fiber care, and home accessory styling.
- Foster a client-centric, design-consultant culture.
- Train the team to conduct needs assessments, offer creative solutions, and close sales.
- Manage key client relationships, handle high-value transactions, and resolve any customer service issues with professionalism.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase average transaction value and client acquisition.
Team Management & Development
- Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and motivate a team of sales consultants and support staff.
- Create weekly schedules, manage payroll budgets, and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Lead daily/weekly team meetings to communicate goals, product knowledge, and sales techniques.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-energy work environment.
Visual Merchandising & Showroom Operations
- Ensure the showroom is impeccably maintained, visually inspiring, and effectively merchandised to highlight products and trends.
- Oversee inventory management for home accessories, including receiving, tagging, and cycle counts.
- Coordinate with warehouse/suppliers on sample rotation, special orders, and sample maintenance.
- Manage all operational aspects: opening/closing procedures, cash handling, daily deposits, and facility maintenance.
Business Administration & Growth
- Analyze sales reports, KPIs, and market trends to make informed business decisions.
- Manage the showroom P&L, including controlling expenses and optimizing profitability.
- Develop and execute local marketing initiatives in partnership with leadership (e.g., in-showroom events, community partnerships, social media promotion).
- Maintain a deep knowledge of products, competitors, and interior design trends.
Requirements- Proven experience in retail store management, preferably in home furnishings, flooring, interior design, or luxury retail.
- Strong track record of meeting sales targets and driving team performance.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and client service skills.
- Leadership ability with a talent for coaching and developing a team.
- Solid operational skills (inventory, scheduling, basic financials).
- Keen eye for aesthetics, color, and design.
