The Role:
We're looking for an HR Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience across recruitment, onboarding, and people operations. This role requires someone who can communicate confidently with candidates, employers, and team members - both in person and online. You'll be representing the company professionally while building relationships that connect youth with career opportunities.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct candidate interviews - screen applicants over calls and in-person, assess fit, and provide feedback
- Manage employer partnerships - liaise with recruiters and HR teams from other companies to source job opportunities for our youth community
- Present opportunities at events - showcase available roles and connect candidates with employers during activations and university events
- Match candidates to opportunities - identify suitable candidates from our community and present them to partner companies
- Support end-to-end recruitment processes including job posting, candidate screening, interview coordination, and follow-ups
- Build team culture - bring creative ideas for team-building activities, internal engagement, and people initiatives
- Assist with onboarding new team members and interns
- Maintain and update candidate databases and recruitment trackers
- Help coordinate hiring across multiple roles and departments
- Assist with HR documentation, policies, and administrative tasks
- Collaborate on university partnership outreach and talent acquisition strategies
What We're Looking For:
- Degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field (recent graduates welcome)
- Strong communication skills - confident speaking to people in person, over calls, and via email
- Comfortable conducting interviews - able to assess candidates, ask meaningful questions, and represent the company professionally
- Relationship builder - knows how to work with different personalities, teams, and external stakeholders
- Creative thinker - brings fresh ideas for team engagement, candidate experience, and HR initiatives
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Comfortable using spreadsheets, databases, and digital tools
- Professional demeanor with good interpersonal skills
- Proactive and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Passionate about people, talent development, and creating opportunities for youth
- Must hold own visa (student, family, or residence visa)
