The Role


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Scaffolding Superintendent with a proven track record in overseeing and coordinating all on-site Scaffolding activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards for a high-profile client.

The key objectives for this role are:


To plan, manage, and supervise all scaffolding activities on ADNOC projects, ensuring full compliance with ADNOC HSE standards, project specifications, and international safety regulations. The Scaffolding Superintendent is responsible for safe execution, quality control, manpower coordination, and timely completion of scaffolding works.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise scaffolding operations for ADNOC projects (EPC / PMC environments)
  • Ensure scaffolding erection, modification, and dismantling activities comply with ADNOC standards and project specifications
  • Review IFC drawings, method statements, and risk assessments prior to execution
  • Coordinate with construction, mechanical, piping, and maintenance teams for scaffolding requirements
  • Plan work sequences to meet project schedules and milestones
  • Ensure strict adherence to ADNOC HSE standards, PTW (Permit to Work), and risk management procedures
  • Conduct regular site safety inspections and toolbox talks
  • Ensure compliance with:
    • ADNOC Code of Practice
    • International standards such as BS EN 12811 / OSHA (as applicable)
    • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
    • Ensure 100% scaffold tagging system (Scaftag or equivalent) implementation
  • Prepare scaffolding manpower plans and material requirements
  • Coordinate with procurement and yard teams for scaffold material availability
  • Monitor productivity and optimize workforce utilization
  • Maintain scaffolding registers and tracking logs
  • Ensure scaffold structures meet load-bearing requirements and inspection standards
  • Coordinate with QA/QC department for inspection approvals
  • Maintain scaffold inspection records and documentation
  • Supervise scaffold supervisors, inspectors, and scaffolders
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring
  • Interface with ADNOC representatives, PMC, and client inspectors
  • Attend construction and safety meetings

Expected:



  • Degree with a minimum of 15 years Oil and Gas industry experience, including at least 5 years on major capital projects, (> 500 M USD) with Construction Management and Site Management focus
  • Experience within an Oil and Gas operating company is also highly desired and may be considered in lieu of capital project experience
  • CISRS Certified Scaffolding Supervisor
  • ADNOC-approved Scaffolding Supervisor certification
  • NEBOSH / IOSH certification
  • Must be willing to travel extensively for multi-week periods and have the flexibility to adjust work location to support project needs
  • Must be qualified to obtain a CICPA and a UAE work visa
