Job Summary:

Our client, a multinational automotive aftermarket company is looking for a Managing Director ME. Provide overall strategic and operational leadership to achieve long-term business objectives, with full P&L and cash-flow accountability. Build and lead a high-performing organization, driving employee engagement in alignment with regional strategy, while driving all required efforts to leverage the growth potential in Africa. Define and execute business strategy in close coordination with EMEA leadership and GHQ, ensuring robust financial and management reporting. Ensure profitable operations, full legal representation of the entity, and strict compliance with Group and EMEA DoA governance.



Key Responsibilities:


    • Achieve long-term business objectives through effective strategic and operational leadership, with full accountability for P&L and cash flow.
    • Build and sustain a high-performing organization, resulting in strong leadership capability, employee engagement, and talent development aligned with regional strategy.
    • Deliver and execute the business strategy in close collaboration with EMEA leadership and GHQ, ensuring timely, accurate financial and management reporting.
    • Realize the identified growth potential in the African Continent.
    • Drive sustainable growth and bottom-line profitability across all business activities.
    • Ensure full legal, regulatory, and governance compliance by acting as legal representative in line with Group and EMEA DoA requirements.
  • Principle Duties and Responsibilities
    • Developing and executing business strategies to achieve short and long-term goals.
    • Overseeing the business operations, financial performance, investments, and ventures and developing and implementing business plans to improve productivity & efficiency.
    • Assessing, managing, and resolving problematic developments and situations.
    • Maintaining positive and trust-based relations with business partners, shareholders, and authorities.
    • Ensuring company policies and legal guidelines are clearly communicated and followed throughout the organization.



Requirements:


  • Experience:
    • Experience working in a global environment
    • Extensive experience as a managing director or in a similar role
    • Global or multi-national business experience preferred
    • Experience in developing and implementing strategic and business plans
    • Ability to structure and manage complex cross-enterprise projects and processes with multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organization
    • Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior managers and external business partners
    • Experience in customer relationship management
    • Dedication to providing great customer service
    • Experience in Risk Management & mitigation
    • Experience in Issue & Crisis Management
    Required:
    • University degree in business, marketing, or a related field
    Desired:
    • Master's degree preferred.
