The Hygiene Specialist (PMC) is responsible for monitoring, auditing, and ensuring compliance with occupational hygiene, industrial health, and environmental health standards across ADNOC projects. The role supports ADNOC HSE objectives by identifying workplace health hazards and implementing preventive and control measures in line with ADNOC standards and UAE regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure food production, catering, and food services comply with applicable statutory requirements and ADNOC Group HSE standards, policies, and procedure
- Independently implement, maintain, and verify Good Hygiene Practices and HACCP system requirements in catering and camp operations
- Provide technical support to FBPIC and contractors to implement hygiene controls and maintain accurate food safety and HACCP records
- Conduct audits of kitchens, dining areas, laundries, recreation areas, and camp facilities, and independently prepare audit and inspection reports
- Periodically perform food and water safety compliance inspections and audits in accordance with the Food and Water Safety Audit/Inspection Guidance
- Audit and assess food raw material suppliers for food safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance
- Inspect all food consignments prior to unloading and storage, including quality, brand compliance, hygiene, and safety, conduct sensory checks
- Deliver internal hygiene and food safety training to food handlers
- Maintain HACCP‑related records, documentation, and verification evidence
- Evaluate site‑specific HACCP manuals, including prerequisite programs, HACCP team structure, product descriptions, intended use, process flow diagrams, hazard analysis, CCPs, critical limits, monitoring, corrective actions, verification, and record‑keeping
- Review hazard analyses to confirm identification of all food safety hazards and recommend effective preventive and control measures
- Conduct HSE orientations, inductions, and awareness sessions for workers
- Understand and implement HSE Plans, Welfare Plans, Emergency Response Plans, and site‑specific HSE procedures and work instructions
- Apply Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), including PTW, WMS, and risk assessments
- Conduct HSE inspections and implement incident reporting and investigation procedures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
- NEBOSH IGC / NEBOSH Diploma
- Any other HSE certifications (considered at ADNOC Group discretion)
- Level 3 Award in HACCP
- Level 4 Award in Managing Food Safety
- Min 15 years of relevant experience in the food & hygiene Sector preferred including 5 years in the GCC
- Must have 3 years of experience in similar position in international Major oil & Gas or petrochemical projects
