Whizz HR is hiring a Head of Institutional Exporter Onboarding Role Level: Senior Management / Lead Location: Remote with frequent international travel to South Africa, Chile, Peru, India and NZReporting to : Founder
1. Core Responsibilities (The EBILT "E" Pillar) Strategic Acquisition: Identify and onboard Tier-1 exporters from key origins: South Africa (Citrus), Peru/Chile (Grapes/Avocado), and New Zealand (Apples/Kiwi). Volume Security: Negotiate seasonal volume commitments and secure specific shipment windows to protect revenue during peak Q3 and Q4 periods. Documentation Standardization: Drive the adoption of standardized Letter of Credit (LC) templates and documentation SOPs to prevent trade discrepancies. Supply Chain Intelligence: Maintain a "Master Exporter Tracker" and provide data-driven updates for the weekly EBILT review meetings. Risk Governance: Monitor global crop health and flag potential supply, weather, or allocation risks at least 60 days in advance.
2. Technical Requirements (Candidate Evaluation Criteria) Established Network: Must possess an existing, high-level network of direct contacts with major pack-houses and institutional exporters in the Southern Hemisphere. Trade Compliance Mastery: Expert knowledge of international shipping documents, including Bills of Lading, Phyto-Certificates, and Certificates of Origin. Financial Fluency: Deep understanding of LC issuance timelines, bank confirmation processes, and the cost impact of documentation errors. Perishable Logistics: Technical understanding of seasonal harvest cycles, fruit varieties, and cold-chain/reefer requirements.
3. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Onboarding Target: 4–6 institutional exporters fully aligned and committed before the season start. Compliance Accuracy: Achieve zero shipment delays caused by internal or exporter-side documentation errors. Documentation Readiness: Ensure LC template acknowledgement and compliance logs are completed for 100% of the onboarded supply base.
