Job Details

Job Focus: Process safety consulting in energy and chemical sectors, primarily in Gulf countries (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman).

Key Tasks:

  1. Conduct fundimantal works, e.g. field work, data collection and organization, preparing reports, for safety studies like HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study), SIL (Safety Integrity Level), and QRA (Quantitative Risk Assessment).
  2. Apply expertise in process engineering, instrumentation, equipment, automation, and petroleum engineering.
  3. Support project managers with coordination, documentation, and drafting safety consulting reports.
  4. Commit to continuous learning to stay updated on new techniques and industry standards.

Work Hours: 48 hours per week.

Skills

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Storage and Transportation, or a related discipline.
  • Degree must be from a university listed in the QS World University Rankings or US News & World Report.
  • Educational certificate Attestation required.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in process safety, chemical plant operations, or related fields.

Language Proficiency

  • Fluency in English as the working language.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in process safety methodologies, including HAZOP, SIL, and QRA.
  • Expertise in interpreting and developing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Familiarity with risk assessment tools such as BowtieXP or PHAST.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, including API 520/521 for pressure-relieving systems, and emerging technologies like digital twins for process safety.

  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and report writing.
  • Excellent project coordination and teamwork abilities.
  • High adaptability and commitment to continuous learning to stay updated with evolving industry standards.

Work Conditions

  • Must pass a Medical Fitness Test, including assessments for blood pressure, diabetes, vision, and overall health, ensuring no conditions (e.g., infectious diseases or severe chronic illnesses) that impact working on-site safety.
