Desktop Engineer

A large enterprise organization is looking for a skilled Desktop Engineer to join its end-user computing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting the desktop and laptop environment, ensuring a secure, reliable, and productive experience for all end users across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support Windows and macOS desktop and laptop environments at enterprise scale.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage endpoint devices using MDM/UEM solutions such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM, or Jamf.
  • Manage software deployment, patching cycles, and configuration management across the endpoint estate.
  • Implement and maintain endpoint security tools including antivirus, EDR solutions, and encryption.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve end-user hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
  • Support desktop image builds, hardware refresh cycles, and device lifecycle management.
  • Maintain accurate asset inventory, software licensing records, and endpoint documentation.
  • Collaborate with IT security teams on endpoint security policies and compliance requirements.
  • Provide escalation support for complex desktop issues beyond standard helpdesk capability.



Qualifications and Skills:

  • 4+ years of experience in desktop engineering or end-user computing roles.
  • Strong expertise in Windows 10/11 administration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with MDM/UEM tools such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM, or equivalent platforms.
  • Knowledge of software deployment, patch management, and group policy administration.
  • Familiarity with endpoint security tools and EDR solutions.
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals as they relate to end-user environments.
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or equivalent certification is advantageous.
