Systems Integration Engineer

A large enterprise organization is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to design and implement integrations across its complex technology landscape. The successful candidate will ensure reliable interoperability, stable data flows, and robust API integrations across heterogeneous platforms and services, supporting the organization's digital and operational goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement system and application integrations using APIs, middleware, and ESB platforms.
  • Analyze integration requirements and produce clear technical design documentation and interface specifications.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful API, SOAP, and messaging-based integrations.
  • Configure and manage integration middleware platforms such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Azure Integration Services, or IBM App Connect.
  • Monitor integration performance, troubleshoot failures, and ensure the reliability of all data flows.
  • Collaborate with application, data, and architecture teams to deliver quality integration solutions.
  • Implement error handling, logging, and alerting mechanisms for all integration flows.
  • Manage integration testing, UAT support, and controlled deployment of integration changes.
  • Maintain comprehensive integration documentation including architecture diagrams, data mappings, and runbooks.



Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in systems integration or middleware engineering.
  • Strong expertise with integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Azure Logic Apps, Dell Boomi, or IBM App Connect.
  • Proficiency with API design and management (REST, SOAP, GraphQL, or OpenAPI).
  • Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or AWS SQS.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise integration patterns and data transformation techniques.
  • Scripting or development skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • MuleSoft Certified Developer or Azure Integration Services certification is advantageous.
